The time problem
Nobody skips the newspaper on purpose. It just loses to the commute, the class, the shift and the deadline. A format that fits into ten minutes is a format that survives a bad week.
News Nest turns the day's newspaper into one short, structured session — curated headlines, vocabulary, current affairs questions and a monthly challenge worth winning.
A newspaper takes an hour you don't have. So most days it doesn't get read at all — and the one page that would have helped in your interview, your exam or your meeting goes past unnoticed.
News Nest removes the noise and gives you only what actually matters.
Nobody skips the newspaper on purpose. It just loses to the commute, the class, the shift and the deadline. A format that fits into ten minutes is a format that survives a bad week.
Forty pages a day, and perhaps five stories that will still matter next month. Knowing which five is the entire skill — and it is the part nobody teaches you.
From choosing a programme to winning a challenge — this is the whole journey.
Essential runs for 90 days, Premium for 365. Both give you the same daily session — Premium adds e-newspaper access and deeper material.
Pick the daily you already trust. We work with your paper, not against it, so nothing about your reading habit has to change.
Every morning your edition arrives, already simplified. Same structure, same length, every single day.
Ten focused minutes. Headlines, vocabulary, editorial summaries and questions — in an order designed to make things stick.
At the end of each month, a knowledge challenge built entirely from the content you were sent.
Every month, each society gets one winner — its top scorer — taking home up to ₹10,000. Winners are contacted on WhatsApp and featured on our Winners page.
The things people ask us most often. See all questions
News Nest is a paid newspaper subscription and learning service. You choose a newspaper; we take that day's content and rebuild it into one short, structured session — five headlines, ten vocabulary words with examples, editorial summaries, current affairs questions and a learning tutorial.
The idea is simple: the hour of reading you don't have becomes ten minutes you actually do.
At the end of every month there is a knowledge challenge, built entirely from the content sent to you that month. Nothing outside it.
Each society has one winner every month — its highest scorer, whichever programme they are on. The prize depends on the winner’s own programme: ₹5,000 on Essential, ₹10,000 on Premium. Winners are contacted on WhatsApp, and with their permission, their photo, name and prize amount appear on our Winners page.
Use the Join now button anywhere on this site. Fill in your name, WhatsApp number, email, city, chosen programme and preferred newspaper, then complete the payment.
Our team confirms your newspaper on WhatsApp and your first edition follows shortly after.
Essential (₹1,000 · 90 days): this programme cannot be cancelled once it begins. Please be sure before you join.
Premium (₹4,000 · 365 days): cancellation becomes available after the first two months.
Full terms are set out on our Terms and conditions and Refund policy pages.
Everything that mattered in today's news, rebuilt into one learning session you can finish in ten minutes.
Five stories that actually mattered today, each with a summary short enough to read standing up.
Words pulled from the day's paper — not a random list — with clear, plain meanings.
Every word shown in use, so you learn how to say it, not just what it means.
A short set of questions on what you just read. Revision, on the same day, while it's fresh.
The editorial page in simple language — the argument, the counter-argument, and why it matters.
Short guides on reading faster, taking notes and remembering more of what you read.
Same structure every morning. That repetition is what turns reading into a habit instead of a resolution.
Both include the daily session and the monthly challenge. The difference is duration, depth and the size of the prize.
For students, professionals and curious minds who want to build a daily reading habit and see it through.
For readers who want the complete knowledge ecosystem and support that lasts a full year.
Prices are one-time, not recurring. Compare the two side by side
Not vanity numbers — just what the programme commits to, in writing.
Every winner is contacted on WhatsApp, and — with their permission — their photo, name and prize amount go up on our Winners page.

Why ten structured minutes beat an hour of good intentions — and what a daily edition should actually contain.
Ask anyone preparing for a competitive exam whether they read the newspaper daily and you will get the same answer twice: yes in principle, no in practice. The intention is real. What fails is the format. An hour-long task with no fixed shape is the first thing to fall off a busy day, and once it falls off for a week it rarely comes back.
The fix is not more discipline. It is a smaller, fixed-shape task. Ten minutes with a known structure is something a person can do on a train, between classes, or before a shift — and crucially, something they can do on a bad day. Habits survive on their worst day, not their best.
The second thing that fails is retention. Reading forty pages and remembering nothing is common, and it is not a memory problem. Information read once, in passing, with no retrieval afterwards, is designed to be forgotten. This is why the daily session ends with questions rather than beginning with them: the questions are the part that makes the reading stick.
Five is enough. A list of thirty headlines is just the same overwhelm in a smaller font.
Words taken from the day's own paper carry context. A random word list does not.
You learn a word when you see it used. A definition alone rarely reaches your own writing.
The editorial page is where the argument lives, and where the language is hardest. It needs translating, not skipping.
Questions on the day's content, on the same day, while the reading is still warm.
Identical structure each morning. Predictability is what turns an activity into a routine.
A monthly challenge does two things at once. It gives the month a finish line, which is what most self-study lacks, and it forces a second pass over material you read weeks ago — spaced repetition, arriving without you having to schedule it. The prize money is the reason people show up for it. The revision is what they actually take away.
News Nest is a learning service. It does not publish news of its own, and it is not affiliated with any newspaper.
Essential is a 90-day sprint. Premium is a full year with deeper material and e-newspaper access. Both include the daily session and the monthly challenge.
For students, professionals and curious minds who want to build a daily reading habit and see it through.
For readers who want the complete knowledge ecosystem and support that lasts a full year.
Same daily edition either way. Duration, depth and prize size are what change.

Programme pricing assumes a newspaper costing up to ₹10 per day. Most major dailies fall inside that. Where yours doesn't, the difference is passed on at cost — ₹500 on Essential, ₹2,000 on Premium — with no margin added.
When you submit the join form we check your chosen newspaper's current price and confirm the exact total on WhatsApp. If a surcharge applies, you hear it from us before any payment is taken.
Message us with your goal — exam, job, or general reading — and we'll tell you honestly which programme fits.
Everything that mattered in today's news, rebuilt into one learning session you can finish in ten minutes. Seven parts, the same order, every day.
Not thirty headlines in a smaller font. Five stories that will still matter next month, each with a summary short enough to read standing on a train.
Start receiving theseWords taken from the day's own edition, so they arrive with context already attached. Each one comes with an example sentence, because you learn a word by seeing it used, not defined.
Start receiving theseThe session ends with questions, not begins with them. Retrieval on the same day is the part that turns reading into remembering — and it's the part almost everyone skips.
Start receiving theseHeadlines and vocabulary are the visible half. These three are what separate a summary service from a learning one.
The editorial page is where the argument lives and where the language is hardest. We give you the position, the counter-position, and why the debate exists at all — in plain words.
Short guides on reading faster, taking notes that survive a month, and remembering more of what you read. Skills, not just content.
Same seven parts, same order, every morning. The predictability is deliberate: it's what lets the habit hold on a day when nothing else does.
Current affairs and vocabulary are examinable content. This is that content, delivered daily and revised monthly.
Enough context to hold your side of a conversation about the economy, policy or the market — without an hour of reading.
You've tried before and it lasted a fortnight. A fixed ten-minute shape is what makes the second attempt different.
Pick a programme, choose your newspaper, and get your first edition this week.
A knowledge challenge built entirely from the content sent to you that month. Every society has one winner each month, and the winner takes home up to ₹10,000.
Nothing outside the month's own content appears in it. If you read your daily editions, you have already prepared.
Every question comes from editions you were sent that month — headlines, vocabulary, editorials and tutorials. Nothing else.
At the end of the month we send the challenge link to the number you registered with. You take it in your own time, within the window given.
Everyone in a society competes together, whichever programme they are on. The society’s highest scorer that month is the winner.
If two people score the same, the one who completed the challenge in less time takes the higher rank.
We message the top scorer on WhatsApp to confirm the result and collect payout details.
With the winner's consent, their photo, name and prize amount appear on the Winners page. Consent is always asked first, never assumed.
A prize is only meaningful if the process behind it is clean.
Every active subscriber is automatically entered for the months their programme is running. There is no separate sign-up and no entry fee.
Team members and their immediate families are not eligible.
Yes. Each month is independent, and a previous win does not affect your standing in a later challenge.
The prize is awarded to the highest scorer among those who participated. If a month sees no participation at all, no prize is awarded for that month.
Payouts are made by bank transfer or UPI to the winner's own account, normally within seven working days of the result being confirmed.
We do not pay to third-party accounts.
No. Publishing your photo and name is entirely optional and we ask before doing it. Declining does not affect your prize in any way.
The prize is the reason people turn up. The revision is what they take away. A challenge at month-end forces a second pass over material read weeks earlier — spaced repetition that arrives without anyone having to schedule it.
No minimum participant count, no rollover, no vouchers instead of cash. Prize money is paid in rupees to the winner's own account. The full terms sit on our Terms and conditions page.

The winner from every society’s monthly knowledge challenge, published with their permission.
After each challenge is scored, the winner is contacted on WhatsApp and asked whether they are happy to appear here. Only then does an entry go up — photo, name, month, programme and prize amount.
Nobody is published without saying yes first, and any winner can ask to be removed later.

Once payment is confirmed and your newspaper choice is verified on WhatsApp, your programme starts from the next delivery morning. Your 90 or 365 days are counted from that first edition, not from the payment date.
The programme price is built around newspapers costing up to ₹10 per day. Some titles cost more than that.
Where your chosen paper is above ₹10 per day, an additional ₹500 applies on Essential and ₹2,000 on Premium. This covers the actual cost difference over the full duration — there is no margin added on top.
Your daily edition is delivered on WhatsApp, to the number you register with. There is no app to install, no login and no dashboard to remember a password for.
Nothing is lost. Editions stay in your WhatsApp thread, so you can catch up whenever you like. Your programme duration does not pause or extend for missed days.
Message us and we will tell you what's possible. A change is usually workable, though if the new title costs more than ₹10 per day the difference may apply.
We collect only what we need to run your programme: name, WhatsApp number, email, city, newspaper choice and programme. We do not sell your data. Details are on our Privacy policy page.

News Nest is a paid newspaper subscription and learning service. We don't publish news. We take the paper you already trust and rebuild its day into ten usable minutes.
You choose a newspaper. Every morning, we take that day's edition and turn it into a single structured session: five headlines that mattered, ten vocabulary words drawn from the paper itself with example sentences, editorial summaries in plain language, a short set of current affairs questions, and a learning tutorial. Same seven parts, same order, every day.
At the end of each month there's a knowledge challenge built only from the content you were sent — one winner in every society, and up to ₹10,000 for the winner.
We are not a newspaper and we are not affiliated with any publisher. We do not report news of our own, and we do not deliver physical newspapers to homes. Premium includes official e-newspaper access only where the publisher makes it available.
Most people who stop reading the paper didn't lose interest — they lost the hour. An unshaped, hour-long task is the first thing a busy day drops, and once it's dropped for a week it usually doesn't come back. A ten-minute task with a known shape survives bad days, and habits are made or broken on their bad days.
The questions at the end exist for the same practical reason. Reading something once and never retrieving it is a reliable way to forget it. Same-day retrieval, and a second pass at month-end, is what turns a reading habit into knowledge you can actually use in an exam or an interview.
Entirely by programme fees. There is no advertising in your daily edition, and we don't sell subscriber data to anyone. The one-time price you pay is the whole commercial relationship.
News Nest is a young service. We would rather tell you that plainly than decorate the site with subscriber counts and testimonials that don't exist yet. The Winners page stays empty until there is a real winner to put on it. What we can commit to now is the format, the delivery, the challenge and the prize money — all of which are set out in writing on the Programmes and Terms pages.
